Stainless Steel Elliptical Head Shipped To Singapore

Stainless steel elliptical head (also called ellipsoidal head or elliptical dish end) is one of the main pressure elements that make up the pressure vessel, like storage tank, boiler, industrial autoclave, tower and so on. The stainless steel elliptical head radius varies between the major and minor axis usually with the ratio is 2:1.

We received an inquiry for stainless steel elliptical head from Singapore on Alibaba during the Chinese Spring Festival 2019 , it’s a trial order. Elliptical dish end is used for water treatment system design and testing for development, the customer provided the detailed dimensions of ellipsoidal head, our dished head engineers designed drawing as per his requirements. Our customer are satisfied with our scheme, he placed order of stainless steel elliptical head on Feb. 21, 2019.

Preparations before stamping of stainless steel elliptical head

Test for several minutes before stamping, confirm that the equipment is in good condition for stamping.

Correct selection of die according to process regulations, avoid misuse, measure blank thickness, check whether the specifications of the die are appropriate (to prevent the lower die from cracking), and then use it after qualified inspection by inspectors.

After the upper and lower die of the ellipsoidal head is installed on the hydraulic press, check the position of the upper and lower die. The clearance between upper and lower dies should be even, and fasteners such as bolts and nuts should be tightened to ensure safety.

Lubricant should be applied on the die before stamping. Lubricants are made up of 40% graphite powder and 60% oil, or graphite powder and water.

When it is found that the working face of blank holder is brushed before or during stamping, it should be polished smoothly in time.

The clearance between blank and blank holder should be as small as possible to ensure no bulging.

When pressing flat head (tube sheet), after the upper die passes through the lower die ring, it can continue to the working platform of the press to ensure that the head plane is leveled once.

After demoulding, the head and tube sheet are not allowed to contact with the upper die again or press twice to prevent oversize size.

Elliptical Cap was Exported to Indonesia on December

Elliptical cap is one part of industrial autoclave,oil storage tank,boiler. It is widely used for industrial autoclave,oil storage tank,boiler and other pressure vessel.

On 27th to 28th April. 2017, Indonesia customers came to our factory to visit. They visited our elliptical cap factory. They mainly visited our steel material, welding material room, laboratory, inspection room, workshop, technical department, office. After the visit, they were very satisfied with our factory and purchased a number of elliptical cap.

On 3rd,December,2017. elliptical cap exported to Indonesia.This was the second order from this Indonesia customer.

This order elliptical cap diameter is two sizes 810 mm, 1424 mm. Thickness is 19 mm and 22 mm,every size quantity is 2 pieces.

It is used for boiler to our customer. Because diameter size 810 mm and 1424 mm are not regular size.Our mold sizes are 800 mm and 1400 mm,so we made new mold for customer. According to customer’s request, we made groove on the elliptical cap edge. For better quality, we made sand blasting on elliptical cap surface.It let our products more better in appearance.

Tank Head Will be Delivered to Xinjiang Province Next Week

Tank head (also called elliptical head or elliptical dish end) is usually made with carbon steel, stainless steel, Austin and non ferric metals that can be cold processed. The shape of the tank head is more economical, because the height of the tank head is just a fraction of the diameter. The radius of tank head varies between the major and minor axis usually with the ratio is 2:1. It is the economical solution for medium
pressure tanks due to the reduced metal thickness requirement.

Our old customer from Xinjiang province ordered six large tank head in early March. Two tank heads with the diameter of 7.4 meters, four tank heads with the diameter of 6 meters. We manufactured the tank head with material of Q345R carbon steel plate.The Q345R carbon steel plate thickness is 30mm. Due to its larger diameter, at first we used a few pieces of Q345R carbon steel plates to weld into large steel
plates. After welding, we did ray inspection for these large steel plates. After the ray inspection passed. the followed by the material cutting and the forming process. Forming process was divided into hot pressing  and cold pressing. Due to the large diameter, it was impossible to do hot pressing. We took cold pressing process.

Cold pressing was mainly performed with a spinning machine. After spinning, it was tested. After passing the test, the customer asked us to spray paint.The customer requested that the surface and interior of  tank heads should  be painted with gray co lour. It looks very nice. Due to the larger diameter, we cuted the 6 tank heads into 12 pieces for easy transport. Delivery date is 30 days. We finished the order on time.
These tank heads can be delivered next week.

Finally in this October, he took the flight and came to my factory to have a deep understanding of our product. He was very satisfied and like to give us an order of 40 pieces of it.
