Technical Process of Carbon Fiber Yarn Oven

The curve of carbon fiber yarn oven (also called composite autoclave) matrix resin mainly influence by resin molecular structure, also influenced by other components such as curing agent, cross-linking accelerator and so on. Outside conditions such as temperature, pressure and time are very important to curving process, these three datas called process parameters.

Now the current domestic and foreign carbon fiber yarn oven resin curing pressure, except for polyimides, is generally controlled within the range of 0.3-0.6Mpa. Composite materials pressure for carbon fiber yarn oven is  usually lower than 1.6Mpa. For technical process, the transformation of matrix resin from linear structure to three-dimensional network structure can be divided into three stages such as flow stage, gel stage and curing stage, this process is among stable temperature. Domestic aircraft structure used composite matrix resin curing temperature. This temperature is the upper of domestic carbon fiber yarn oven temperature.

①Opening door device and seal type all belong to autoclave body. Among the door open type, it can be manual and hydraulic automatic, all adopt double safety interlocks. It also can open and close door when power off.

②Tank door flange use inflatable silicone seal, it will be automatic inflatable seal by compressor air when working.Tank inside pressure will push out the seal ring from groove. Tank door will not have air leakage if have pressure in it. The higher pressure, the better seal. Releasing the air and draining the tank pressure will move seal ring back to flange seal groove automatically after door open Inflatable seal will be never wear, it is convenient and multi-purpose, simple maintenance. Sealing effect is obviously better than other ways, sealing ring service life of more than 1 year. This also one symbol of advanced pressure autoclave.

③Most of users now pay great attention to the temperature control. It will greatly influence products quality depends on the temperature control accuracy or not. Higher temperature will lead to the earlier of cross-linking reaction materials and quick forming speedy during the composite fiber mould press forming. This can cause the material curing difference of inside and outside cavity. During this process, surface material hardened first, and the inner layer also cured, will lead the the low molecular matter produced by the cross-linking reaction is difficult to volatilize outwards. All these process will cause composite fiber products swelling, cracking and warping, this can influence the products performance. The resin and other materials will decompose due to the material inner layer cured and material surface overheated. This process will lead to the deterioration of the mechanical properties of carbon fiber products. However, if the temperature is too low, the material fluidity decreases, the curing speed slows down, and the cross-linking reaction cannot be fully carried out. Then the strength of the product will become low, and the low temperature curing incomplete surface will not be able to withstand the internal pressure, so there will be swelling.

The temperature section and the pressure section are divided into ten sections, each consists of the heating (cooling) stage and the insulation stage. In the heating stage, the heating rate is set to be positive value. Similarly, if it is at cooling stage, the cooling rate will be negative value. In the insulation stage, will set an insulation time. Once reach the time, system enter into next stage automatically. If no need set insulation time, it can be set to zero. System will enter into next stage automatically not via the insulation stage.
