In the end of October 2022, we received an inquiry from America. The customer wanted to purchase air vessel to petroleum special equipment. In addition, customer provided specific parameters, volume 1m3, working pressure 1MPa, the air inlet is NPT 1-1/2″ and the air outlet requires 1 NPT 1-1/2″, 3 NPT 1-1/2’’ and 2 NPT 1/2″. We design according to the customer’s requirements, the diameter is 800mm, the height of the shell is 1700mmm, the air vessel according to ASME standard with U stamp and MDR, paint is epoxy anticorrosive, and need to be equipped with safety valve and pressure gauge.

Regarding the size of air vessel, according to the customer’s requirement, the diameter was changed to 1000mm and the height of the shell was changed to 890mm, and need to be equipped with safety valve, pressure gauge(pressure gauge dial English PSI and MPa double display, accuracy 1.6, range 0-1.6MPa) and drain valve. Nozzle size changed to 2 NPT 1-1/2″, air outlet needs 2 NPT 1-1/2″, 4 NPT 1″ and 2 NPT 1/2″, it also include pressure gauge port, safety valve port and drain valve port.

PED DN2000X8000mm Large Autoclave Shipped to Latvia

 Large Autoclave (composite autoclave) is a professional pressure vessel for the production of composite materials (carbon fiber/resin aramid fiber/resin, etc.) structural parts under certain curing cycle, pressure, temperature and vacuum conditions. Composite autoclave is widely used in aerospace, weapons, electronics industry and other fields.

In early February 2021, we received an inquiry from Latvia for a large autoclave with a diameter of 2000mm and a length of 8000mm. As a European customer, the design and standard of pressure vessel can be made according to ASME standard and issued PED certification. TAIAN STRENGTH has owned ASME certificate and manufacturing qualification for 4 years. And TAIAN STRENGTH has produced more than ten kinds of ASME+PED products. In brief, we have rich experience in the production and production of composite autoclave of European standard products.

According to the size of large autoclave and to satisfy the normal use of customers. Then engineer equipped the heater power of 260kW and the liquid cooling motor power of 45kW. In addition, the heating method is electric heating. In order to save costs, the customer wants to reduce the power of the heater and use heat conduction oil for heating. So the liquid cooled motor is replaced by an air cooled motor.

Conventional composite autoclave is electric heating, it can also use heat conduction oil heating. But electric heating temperature control accuracy is better than heat conduction oil heating; If heat conduction oil is used for heating, the heating rate is slow, the reaction lags. It is difficult to control the oil temperature. And the heating rate and cooling rate cannot be guaranteed, which will also affect the product preparation. The cooling mode of the motor is liquid cooling, which is pressurized and matched with the pressure vessel. In fact, it can not be replaced by the traditional air cooled fan motor. Moreover, the power of the liquid cooled motor can be replaced by 30kW. According to the customer’s process requirements, we still recommend the use of electric heating, liquid cooling motor. Finally the customer adopted our scheme, the heater power is 260kW, the liquid cooling motor power is 30kW, electric heating.

According to the customer’s requirements, the number of vacuum lines of large autoclave was adjusted from the 6 to 10. We adopted the method of sampling and separation for the customer to increase the efficiency and accuracy of vacuuming.

The dimensions of the large autoclave about (Length X Width X Height)11000X3000X3100mm. Due to the limitation of the customer’s factory building, the height and width cannot exceed 2700mm. Finally, the engineer calculated that the width and height can be controlled to 2650mm without any accessory. Because the customer needs on-site assembly.

Ethylene – tetrafluoroethylene copolymer is a kind of chemical substance. ETFE is the strongest fluorine plastic. In addition, ETFE keeps PTFE good heat resistance, chemical resistance and electrical insulation properties at the same time. Radiation resistance and mechanical properties have been greatly improved. In fact, Tensile strength can reach 50MPa, close to PTFE 2 times. ETFE has good processing formability, balanced physical properties, good mechanical toughness and excellent ray resistance. Furthermore, the material has the corrosion resistance of PTFE, which overcomes the non-stick and sexual defects of PTFE to metal. Also it makes ETFE (F-40) an ideal composite material for metal.

We design according to the customer’s requirements, the diameter is 1200mm, the height of the shell is 2200mmm. The air receiver according to ASME standard with U stamp and MDR, paint is epoxy anticorrosive. And it need to be equipped with safety valve.

Regarding the size of air receiver, according to the customer’s requirement, the diameter was changed to 1400mm. Then the height of the shell was changed to 1450mm. And we updated the price. Because the increase in diameter will also increase the thickness of the compressed air tank, which is also a major factor affecting the price.
