Air receiver (also called air storage tank, buffer tank, etc.) is a common pressure vessel used to store gas, it is one of the our hot sale pressure vessel products. Depending on customer requirements, STRENGTH can produce ASME, CE(PED), GB150 (Chinese standard) high pressure, atmospheric pressure or low pressure air storage tanks.
In the middle of March 2022, we received an inquiry from Pakistan. The customer wanted to purchase receiver tank to match air compressor. In addition, the customer provided specific parameters, volume 3m3, working pressure 1MPa. We design according to the customer’s requirements, the diameter is 1200mm, the height of the shell is 2200mmm. The air receiver according to ASME standard with U stamp and MDR, paint is epoxy anticorrosive. And it need to be equipped with safety valve.
Regarding the size of air receiver, according to the customer’s requirement, the diameter was changed to 1400mm. Then the height of the shell was changed to 1450mm. And we updated the price. Because the increase in diameter will also increase the thickness of the compressed air tank, which is also a major factor affecting the price. Finally the customer chose 1400mm diameter air receiver.

After full communication with the customer, we issued the GA drawing to the customer. The receiver tank started production at the end of August. During this period, Lloyd’s third-party AI came to our factory to witness the hydraulic test. In early November, the air receiver was shipped from Qingdao Port, China to Karachi Port, Pakistan.
